Beijing-2012, Chinese exports of cultural products gain a rapid growth in overall. The annual exports of cultural products were $21.73 billion, increased by 16.3% year on year.
Data from the China General Administration of Customs shows, last year, China's exports of visual arts was $ 14.21 billion, rose by 52.5% year-on-year, accounting for 65.4% of the total value of China culture products exports in the same period; exports of printed work were $ 2.85 billion with an increase of 7.1%; exports of audio-visual products were $2.84 billion with a drop of 44.2%; exports of musical instruments were $1.49 billion, with a growth of 6.6%.
As to the market structure of exports, in 2012, China's cultural products exports to emerging markets,such as Latin America, ASEAN and Africa, had a faster growth than other regions. Exports to Latin America were $1.72 billion; to ASEAN were $1.54 billion; to Africa were $1.36 billion. The year-on-year growth was respectively 72.2%, 120% and 120%.
