On June 16, Exhibition of Top-notch Chinese Folk Crafts, jointly sponsored by Chinese Embassy in Chile and the Municipality of Vitacura of Santiago Region, was opened at Home of Lo Matta. Involving more than 100 pieces of outstanding craft in over ten categories such as Suzhou Embroidery, Carved Painting on Shell, Bronze Ware, Flower Carving on Wood, Lacquer Carving and Cotton Painting, this exhibition showcased to Chilean audience the imagination, creation and exquisite technique of Chinese folk arts. As a key event in the Chinese Culture Week in the Municipality of Vitacura, this exhibition is called Made in China. In the explanation of Mr. Hernon Swart, director of Cultural Bureau of Municipality of Vitacura, “Made in China” indicates not only the inexpensive yet elegant commodity but also profound Chinese culture.
