The dances of the Honved Dance Company of Hungary were passionate and joyous, among which the Bottle Dance performed by Hungary women dancers was new to the audience. Actually, the Bottle Dance was spread into China in as early as 1950s and left a beautiful memory to Chinese people. In 1951, the Hungarian Folk Art Troupe visited China, which was the first socialist country¨s art troupe in East Europe to visit China. This Troupe¨s performances in China lasted for 3 months, and Chinese people began to love this joyous Bottle Dance and learned how to dance. Later on this dance was performed to extend regards to armies on the Korean battlefield. Xing Dehui, the Artistic Director of this art festival, who was 16 or 17 at that time, was deeply impressed by the Bottle Dance. When discussing with the Honved Dance Company of Hungary the programs to be performed at the prize-giving evening party, Mr. Xing talked of this memory and danced the Bottle Dance, the head and assistant of the Honved Dance Company was quite surprised at this and they invited Mr. Xing to join in and dance with them. Therefore, at the backstage they joyously danced the Bottle Dance that was characteristic of Hungarian feature, and their dance attracted appreciations from other performers.
