<p>　　杜平，祖籍安徽阜阳， 1960年出生于书香世家。父亲杜鸿年，是中国著名版画家，东北画派创始人之一。杜平自幼受父亲熏陶，酷爱书法、绘画、雕刻等艺术，尤其擅长山水人物和花鸟鱼虫。杜平在父亲的传授之下，继承和发扬了这项渐次销声匿迹的古老刻铜工艺。多年来，他在刻铜工艺上不断探索和研究，在刻铜艺术上自成一家。</p>
<p>　　刻铜工艺最早起源于春秋战国时期的錾铜艺术，是錾铜艺术的再现与艺术创造，自古以来刻铜艺术就是皇宫贵胄、达官仕子、文人墨客所悉心追求的艺术珍品。杜氏刻铜工艺用材精良，以金属为纸，以刀代笔，是精心制作和适宜永久保存的珍贵礼品与收藏品。其工艺刀法清新，气韵婉丽；线条流畅，潇洒俊逸；造型独特，制作精细；古色古香，典雅高贵；题材广泛，内涵丰富；汇诗、书、画印成一器，花鸟鱼虫、人物山水及历史典故、乡土民俗和珍贵书画等均可篆刻。截至2012年底，已有多件杜氏刻铜作品被我国港澳台地区以及日本、韩国、葡萄牙、英国等国家公私机构收藏。</p>
