Forging Towards a Higher Artistic Vision
Art Exchange VOL.Art Exchange|

2019 New Year has come. Like all the readers, this magazine is full of hopes and expectations for the international exchange industry dynamics and scenes in the New Year.

At the end of 2018, the 10th Cross-Straits, Hong Kong and Macao Regional Art Forum has been held in Taipei. More than 120 film and television artists, experts, scholars and practitioners from both sides of the Straits, Hong Kong and Macao jointly discussed the development of Chinese traditional culture and modern film and television art industry; in late January, 2019,the wellknown Taiwan writer Lin Qingxuan passed away, but the appeal he had issued for the CrossStraits literature to "hand in hand" still lingers by the ears touching thousands of readers. How

Qi Baishi enjoyed his popularity in Kyoto, the self-exploration of several painters, as well as the bricks and glaze of Beijing Prince Kung's Mansion and the delightful elegance of traditional Chinese fans are all presented to the leaders in this edition. How to spread Chinese culture, which is with profound traditions, to the world in a convenient and accurate way? How to introduce foreign cultures with the same deep traditional roots to China and make it understandable and acceptable for the Chinese people? As Mr. Lin Qingxuan once mentioned, "stand on a higher place and watch" – standing on a higher location, it will lead to a broader artistic vision, and we shall have more subtle answers to the questions we raise.
