It seems that every beginning of a year will become a “low season” for literary and art exchanges. Indeed, there are comparatively fewer significant events of exchange at the beginning than in the high season in the middle of a year and most of them are boisterous celebrations on the occasion of New Year Festival. However, in this “low season” we can achieve an inner peace in mind to ponder over some enlightenment that some “tiny yet refined” artists, artworks and art exchanges have brought to the public. What kind of global image will be established through the frequent award winning in the international acrobatic events? How can the ideal of an internationally reputable museum collection be constantly shifted from observation of a painting or sculpture? Or is it possible for a playwright, a traditional Chinese painter or a writer to resort to the “tiny yet refined” quantity and quality in narration of their creation and experience to achieve a more amazing outlook in arts?
It is already argued in fine arts circle that whether those gigantic-scaled exhibitions are already outdated while “tiny yet refined” art exchange and creation is widely advocated for an unexpectedly better effect in exchange. With an accurate cultural position in fashion leadership and self-portrait, the “tiny yet refined” art exchange will become a state-of-the-art label of Chinese cultural style.
