The entire gala performances were of rich contents, elegant taste and enthusiastic atmosphere. It involved traditional presentation of Chinese art in distinct flavor and oriental aesthetics as well as classic arias of western opera, vocal music and dance drama, and highlighted the beauty of cultural exchange and integration, which was in accordance with the cultural diversity and geographic transfer of Turkey. The whole repertoire presented a contemporary interpretation of cultural and art exchange between China and Turkey linked by ancient Silk Road.
The success is attributed to a strong cast of Art Troupe and repertoire selected and organized by CFLAC. A quantity of first-class artists such as Deng Jiandong, Yao Hong, Shan Chong, Zhang Yingxi, Wu Zhengdan, Wei Baohua, Wang Yabin and Jiangyang Zhuoma from national performing art ensembles and varied art disciplines such as traditional musical instrumental performance, national song and dance, acrobatics and vocal music endowed this gala with high appreciation and impact.

After the performance, Gong Xiaosheng, Chinese ambassador in Turkey expressed his excitement, “This performance is so incredibly fantastic”. He said to all the artists, “I am a diplomatic ambassador, but you are all ambassadors of cultural exchange. This excellent performance you dedicated tonight will become a perfect and unforgettable page of cultural exchange history between China and Turkey.” Ertuğrul Gunay, Turkish minister of culture and tourism, also thought highly of this performance and use “unexpected wonder” several time to comment on some programs. While expressing gratitude towards Chinese artists in this Chinese Cultural Year in Turkey, he hoped to bring the same wonder to Chinese audiences in the Turkish Culture Year in China in 2013. Yang Chengzhi extended warm congratulations and sincere thanks on the success of performance and paid tribute to all the participants for their efforts. In her expectation, all the Chinese artists would learn a lot from this trip and imprint good memory in their mind and continue to demonstrate their talents in the future cultural exchange events.
The traditional styled National Opera House of Turkey was brilliantly illuminated, on the evening of December 4 local time in Ankara, where more than 40 artists traveling afar from China presented a magnificent gala of oriental performing arts to the Turkish audiences in passion. As an official ending of 2012 Chinese Culture Year in Turkey, the gala performance of “Joyous Songs in Ancient Passage” echo “Charming China—Source of Silk Road”, the main theme of Culture Year, staged a visual feast to Turkish audiences which the, elegance of Chinese culture at the joint part of Asia and Europe.
