The Weight of Life Alessandro Ambrosetti
Ever since CIPAE came into being in 1981, it is the first time that a specific theme has been designed, and this theme “happy moments” becomes a highlight of this session. As Chen Jing, responsible of the International Liaison Department of China Photographers Association (CPA) introduced, this session coincided with the launch of the12th Five-Year National Plan of China. Corresponding to the Happiness Theory “Comfort and Ease in Life, Confidence in Future” raised by Central Leaders, CPA deliberately designed this theme to collect photos from all over the world. To their delight, this theme gained lots of feedback and continuous support from photographers of various continents. This exhibition witnessed 22874 photos under this theme, which accounted for 30 % of the total. Even the jury held that the artistic quality of Happy Moments works is more than satisfactory and they can feel warm humanitarian care in many pictures. Blessed with this touching spirit, the exhibition was endowed with living values.
