On the evening of June 7, the Kun Opera masterpiece Peony Pavilion was staged by North Kun Opera Theatre in Sofia, capital of Bulgaria, which proved to be a great success. Guo Yezhou, ambassador of Chinese Embassy in Bulgaris, nearly 100 theatre professionals in Bulgaria and 300 audiences from all walks of life watched the performance. Some envoys in Bulgaria were also invited as well. 

The two leading actresses, Wei Chunrong and Shao Zheng, presented their soft, elegant, and touching interpretation of the romance and provided all-round demonstration of vocal music, footwork and posture in Kun Opera, through all of which the time-honored connotation and extensive charm of Kun Opera arts were fully conveyed.
